TTG Environmental Consultants, LLC (TEC) - The White Rock Cooperative Estates in Tilton, NH is a non-profit, cooperatively owned, 28-unit manufactured housing park constructed in the 1960s. Presently, wastewater is disposed of in a series of leach fields constructed between the units and potable water is distributed through a series of 2-inch diameter plastic pipes that runbetween, and in some cases under, the units. Through a study performed by TEC, it was determined that the wastewater and water supply infrastructure should be replaced. The leaching systems will be abandoned and new sewers and a pumping station installed to connect into the recently constructed municipal sewer on Route 3. The existing water lines will also be abandoned and new ductile iron piping installed in the roadway.
Following the study, the Cooperative obtained $1.37 million in federal funding to construct the project. TEC prepared bid and construction drawings and solicited bids on behalf of the Cooperative. The project is currently under construction, on schedule, and under budget, with TEC providing construction administration and observation services with the construction to be completed in the fall of 2010.
Major project elements include:
- 1,270 linear feet of 8-inch diameter sewer.
- 2,670 linear feet of sewer service connections.
- A 150 gallon per minute wastewater pumping station.
- 2,010 linear feet of new ductile iron water main.
- Sewer and water services to units.
- Drainage improvements.
- Reconstruction of the road network.
